NVivo Classifications and Queries

This online course is for researchers who have completed their coding in NVivo, and are now wondering about what comes next. NVivo Classifications and Queries introduces some of the powerful analysis tools that can assist you to identify underlying patterns and investigate hunches. Learn how to ask questions of your coding – for example, what did males in their twenties say about a particular theme? Or, were participants with a particular view more likely to respond positively to the intervention being studied?

By the end of this course attendees will have a good understanding of how to:

Apply the concept of classifications to a variety of different research projects
Know when file versus case classifications are appropriate
Classify research data and participants to enable sub-group analysis
Create case nodes via a number of techniques including autocoding
Run coding, matrix coding and crosstab queries
Work with queries, including how to save results, narrow the scope, and keep an audit trail of all queries run.
