Excel Tips and Tricks for Researchers
This two-hour online course is not a general introduction to Excel, but rather focuses on time-saving features that will be of particular interest to both quantitative and qualitative researchers. Topics include tips and tricks for data entry, techniques for cleaning and manipulating data, pivot tables, graph creation and formatting, and using formulas. We’ll also discuss how Excel is useful for working with more than just numerical information, and demonstrate how it can be used for basic analysis of qualitative data.
This course is suitable for researchers familiar with the basics of Microsoft Excel.
You will receive exercise files, course notes and a recording of the session.
The course will be presented using Excel 2016 for Windows. Content not applicable to Excel for Mac.
