This course will introduce participants to the basics of quantitative data analysis. General strategies for statistical testing will be introduced, along with specific information regarding t-tests, ANOVA, correlation, and non-parametric statistics. More complex analyses such as regression and MANOVA cannot be accommodated within this session.

• Basic principles of significance testing
• Choosing the correct statistical procedure
• Test assumptions
• Interpreting statistical analyses

Target Audience:

Researchers who are new to the techniques involved in significance testing, or who are in need of a refresher on the subject.

Prerequisites:

Attendance at 'Demystifying Quantitative Research' or equivalent knowledge.
