How do I move all of my EndNote citations to the end of my thesis?

If you have used a separate Word file for each of your chapters, and used EndNote to manage your references, you may find that when you compile your chapters together you have an EndNote reference list at the end of each chapter.

Some disciplines require this, however for the majority of people they will be required to have one reference list at the end of their document.

If you require one reference list:

  1. Compile your chapters together into one document
  2. Unformat your citations. The method of this depends on which version of EndNote you are using. Refer to the Help in the application for instructions.
  3. Re-format your citations and you will have one reference list at the end of your document.
