For researchers who are working with NVivo 9 (or earlier versions), it is not possible for more than one person to work on the project simultaneously. However, if you are working with a team of researchers, it's possible to make copies of the project for individuals to work on – and merge these copies with a 'master' copy. We would recommend that you manage this process carefully, as projects can only be successfully merged if all the structural items (e.g. nodes or folders) are identical.

There is a separate application – NVivo Server, which enables multiple users to work on stored projects at the same time. See the QSR International website for further information on this.
