The basic functionality of NVivo 7 and 8 has remained the same - NVivo 8 has added several exciting new features however. These include the ability to import, work with, and code audio, video, and image-based data. PDFs can now also be imported (and coded) along with Word 2007 documents. Another major addition is an increased range of features for those researchers working with teams (such as easier comparison of coding), along with a new built in graphing tool and other improved reporting capacities.
