Answer

Many students ask us if we would recommend using the Master Document feature in Word to create their thesis. Based on our experience and research on this feature we do not recommend using Master Document, as it can cause some serious problems.

After saying that, after a quick count up round the office this morning, we could testify that 2 students we knew of over our 14+ years of experience, successfully used the feature. Not great odds really is it?

There are many other ways of compiling a long document which we cover in our courses.
