What services do you provide?

We provide research training, consultancy and research-related services. Please click on the links provided for further information about each of these.

How can I pay for your services?

Academic Consulting accepts cash, cheque, direct credit, and online payments through PayPal (including Visa, Mastercard and American Express).

Are you looking to hire staff?

We are always on the look-out for new talent to join our team. There are currently no positions available, but please feel free to send your CV and a brief covering letter to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Can you run a course for my institution/company?

Definitely. All our training courses can be offered in-house for your organisation or research team. Please browse our course outlines for details of all our courses, and then contact us for a quote.

How do I book an individual consultation?

Either contact us through this website, or alternatively call us on +64 9 623 7000 and ask to speak to either Korina or Lyn. Ideally we need at least several weeks notice to book a suitable time.

What do I need to bring to my consultation?

We have laptop computers that can be used during the consultation, but if you'd prefer to use your own, please bring this (don't forget the power cord!). You should also bring any other documentation or data that will be useful such data files for analysis, copies of your questionnaires/interview schedules, your research questions, relevant literature etc.

To make the most of your appointment, we'd also recommend bringing a list of specific questions you'd like addressed during the session. You may like to email this to us beforehand so that we can prepare for the session also.

If you're coming to our office for the first time you may like to print out the instructions on how to find our office, before you leave.

Do you do on-site consultations?

Yes we do, however we need advance warning of this and an additional "site visit fee" will apply to the consultation. Details of these charges can be found on our consultancy webpage.

Do you offer your services outside of Auckland?

Yes we do. A selection of our training courses are offered at Victoria University of Wellington (through the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development) and University of Canterbury (through Professional and Executive Development). We're also happy to arrange an in-house training course for you, anywhere within New Zealand.

Individual and team consultations are available reasonably regularly in Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. If you'd like to be notified of when these are next available, please register with our website and ask to join our mailing list.

A number of online training options are available if we are not able to arrange an in-person consultation with you.

All of our research services can be offered to clients outside of Auckland, as we have a number of options available for delivering your data to us.
